style inspiration

I saw this picture Samaire Armstrong wearing a red belt with her cute "vintagey" dress. My mind travelled back to when I was a kid and played with my mom's bags, lipsticks, wig (yeah, wig) and everything in her closet. I remembers it vividly, red, thin, shiny, belt.
And my search was fruitful, with some help of course.
I got mine from topshop. Tho' the site shows that the belt comes with a steel buckle, but the one I got wasn't. It was wrapped with the same material. So it's all so red. Cute.

Not only did I get the red belt. I got another belt. Well, since belt wasn't really my thing. But it's ok to indulge a bit.
It's made of suede, my all time favourite material. Fav color too.

went over to cats whisker's on friday - a public holiday...
there were more than 10 ppl in the boutique... so the SAs are pretty busy to really entertain you
but they did help me get the another size/color...
and i got a bohemian top!

cat's whiskers @ bangsar

went to cat whisker's outlet in bangsar...

it's actually my first visit to this boutique, cz the current hype about it.
you see them in mags, and hearing yr gfs rant about it.

my experience - utterly disappointing.

as we (a fren & i) walked in, there is 2 people standing near the cashier which is facing the door. they didn’t care to greet us, not even a pathetic smile.. and scattered away back to their duties, with a foul face. i guess, on a monday afternoon, they weren’t expecting much crowd and they prolly couldn’t gossip while there are patrons.

anyway, i browse and browse. took a few items to try it on. and still browsing.
this store is color coordinated. other than that. none. it's like all styles in white is in one section.. black in another and so on..

as we were browsing this SA came up to my fren and told her - 5 items max into dresser room. "_"

and after trying, i like 2 tops. didn’t really want to get it at first. but since it was so darn cheap, i got it. yep, sale time - 50% & 70%.

i felt it was kinda overrated.
the quality of the clothes isn’t that great. style - erm, what style?
it's kinda like sg wang in a smaller scale. i bet shopping in sg wang gives me more satisfaction.

but, i will still wanna visit DP and Hartamas' outlet. Maybe it's different.

Maybelline Unstopabble Mascara Review

This is the best maybelline mascara I’ve used so far.
I used a few others too– lash discovery, sky high curves, lash expansion
But they all smear at the end of the day, that is like after almost 7 hours, even waterproof ones. Yes! it does smear for my case. It’s either my eye area is too oily or … well, go figure.

This one has small fibers in it – for the lengthening effect. Something like mac mascara’s have in them.
Once your lashes are curled, it holds up yr lashes’ shape.
On the first day of use – I wore it for 15 hours. At the 12th hour, I did some touch up… not because it needed to but, I was pretty hiao … cz I liked loved the effect… how it opens up my peepers.

I would say a natural effect but not au natural, which means you can see each of your lashes invidually primed with coat of mascara. But not in an overly done effect.
I used dark blue – a bit too dark for my liking, can’t really see the blue but good for those who prefers a more classic look.
I have gotten dark brown too… bout I doubt the good results of it will differ.

This mascara claims to be:

· A washable, lengthening mascara that wears like a waterproof - it does really lengthen
· zero-budge and zero-smudge for 12 hours! (under normal conditions) - it goes up to 15 hours for me! Yippie…
· lengthens lashes up to 50% - yes, lengthens. But 50%? Maybe I should put more
· comes off easily – no more panda eyes! - comes off fabulously!

For cleaning it out… there isn’t lots of color residue on the cotton pad… comes off easily with oil based eye make-up remover. I tried using non-oil based eye make-up remover; it does come off but may take some more effort. And best is, it doesn’t stain your eye area with color that you are washing off.

I love shopping for mascara

i just love mascaras... it's my must-have item!

i was browsing the other day and saw this newly launched mascara - Maybelline Unstoppable.
Not to mention cheap.
i just love the feeling when you window shop for mascara and eventually get it. and i got myself two!
(not that i am deprived of it or anything)
