Androgyny Attraction

Looking pretty and wholesome is the job for 'talents'. Those are the smily faces you see representing products in advertising.

Models. Models need more than a pretty face. They're here to rock the industry. Unusual is attractive in high fashion/haute couture modeling. Look at Alek Wek. Devon Aoki. Even Kate Moss.

Now that America's Next Top Model Cycle 6 is on Channel [V] (bitchfight is back, y'all!), I've picked my fave model in the making! She is none other than the androgynous Kim. Sadly, she lost to some pouty blah looking skinny girl who's also one of my least favourite.

I think Kim appear fab-est in fitted jackets -->

Another style that she brought so well -->

Here's another one of my fave good-looking androgyne.
Tilda Swinton...

...looking absolutely cool in 'theatrical singlet' designed for her character - Gabriel in Constantine. How can I get my hands on that superbly layered top!?

Features that can go either way is...

... so sexy...

... and villainous at the same time.

blushing naturally

Yesterday, I accompanied a friend to get a lippie in M.A.C store, with no intentions to buy anything. REALLY.

It took her so long to decide the shade she wanted, contemplating over 3 shades. Yes, only 3.
So I wander off browsing around when I saw the
I ended up with a
cheek stain. Limited Edition. It also have a range of sheer glosses. Its color is really sheer and natural, not for those who favor loud shades. I hardly use foundation, so this is a great way for me to achieve natural rosy checks.

I got the red shade - aptly named "Subtle Hint". I didnt try purple, afraid I will be looking like
Barney.

I love the sponge type applicator. It's so soft, and easy to apply than those that comes with brush or even creme blusher.
Feel like getting another one, it's on 10ml.

Other cheek stains that I love too...

Welcome aboard - Y(a)ppie

Introducing my partner in crime - Y(a)ppie, or I fondly call Yuppie.

We are both Arians.
So much a like that we often buy the same outfit although we don't shop together.
Often we share the same taste in clothing, music, movies. But sometimes we are polls apart.

It kinda balances our friendship.
I admire her quirky yet individual taste. And I hope she can bring a lot for this blog of ours.

Today I am : Rachel Bilson

Yellow wouldn't normally be a staple color in my closet. But when I saw Rachel Bilson donning this jacket in YELLOW!.. hmm, looks very uplifting, vibrant and cute.

And lucky me, I found similar jacket in Topshop.

doppelganger

I cannot believe this..
I bought a top from Forever21. Actually I have a top similar from Miss Selfridge. I bought it a few weeks back, haven't have the chance to wear it. So my memory of it's print was pretty vague. But i know it's not the same.

Yesterday, I was at Miss Selfridge's and saw the exact same top I got from Forever21 days earlier. MS's is more pricey.

Double, in fact.
Thank goodness I saw it first in F21, otherwise I would have bought it at double the price. I actually prefer MS to Forever21. Now, I think I should do a check before making any purchases.

This is the top from MS. I bought the same design top from F21.

Today in Fashion History

while it's summer time now, and you pretty little things don on your itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini, let's look back to July 5, 1946.. i love how bodies are much curvier (read : sexier) then. Now it's just bones, where's the appeal?
Check out Marilyn Monroe's bod..

And worse still, it seems like you can wear your swimsuits as day wear too.

Sand and sea cannot be out of the picture!
