The color pop shades each smell good enough to lick, with flavors like Orange Smoothie, Ocean Breeze, Peach Smoothie, Orange Pop, Gum Drop, Grapy Icy, Cotton Candy and Bubble Gum.

Mineral Make Up by The Body Shop

Another unexpected new addition to my make up collection is the newly launched limited edition from The Body Shop. This is their first mineral makeup line. I’ve never really used their makeup extensively but there are a few items on my must-have list, such as Vit C serum, Vit E lip balm, whitening eye cream.

My sis is a big sucker for their rebate system. One evening I accompanied her to TBS store, and I saw this new range and was immediately enticed. I've been wanting to get a brush for quite some time but have not found the right best texture and price. TBS' range is so tempting, that we actually went back a second round - after my sis have already used up her vouchers. We tried on the foundation and blusher, it definitely did not fail to deliver. Color was subtle and natural, and I almost fall asleep when the makeup artist gently swirled the soft brush on my face.

The Body Shop Nature’s Mineral Makeup consist of mineral powder for the face, blush, and eyeshadows complete with brush. You can buy the brushes separately or in a set, which of course is more cost efficient. If you think you can scrimp by just buying the colors and not the brush, you thought wrong. This is because the mineral powder are so minute, the complementing soft brush helds the powder better. Each casing has a sheer net to prevent excessive powder in your brush. Extra points for the klutzy me. Brushes can be kept in a sleek black plastic pouch provided.

How to be cheeky..

Benefit Benetint (rosy lip & cheek stain, if you don't already know) is a cult item started in 1977 and continues to evolve through out the years. Three decades later, this multitasker toned down a shade into a more feminine shade of sheer pink. Good news to those fair ladies who uses Benetint, previously may give the appearence like a severe case of rosacea or may think the redness is too sexy. Now there's a solution.

All in a cute and sweet pink bottle - Posietint.
This is how it looks on a real model - all natural blush.

Summer is here and it's the reason for sweet looking cheeks - Get Posietint here.

All lashed out

Shu Uemura is known to be the pioneer of fake lash (architecture).
Current collaborration with Viktor & Rolf's (remember their theatherical runway show in Fall Winter 2007?) is three different designs of haute couture fake lashes.Viktor & Rolf’s spring fashion 2008 inspired this limited edition collection. Priced at £50 per pair.
This paper clip look alike lashes are so coveted. I am all excited looking at these fake lashes, but I doubt I will put it on. Susie of Style Bubble showed us what's it like in real life. Not too dramatic, but it's super lengthy.

P/S : head over to Mid Valley, there is a road show now

Do you want to know my beauty tips?

I hope you do, if not, you can read from here. Geeksugar's beauty tips.

Which beauty products are your must-haves?
I cannot live without include The Body Shop's Vitamin E lip balm. My lips get chapped very easily. This is my saviour. Even so, I stray a lot, I buy quite a few of lip balms and glosses. Recently I lost my TBS lip balm, I tried so hard not to get a new one. I digged thru my makeup box, and found 3 - some new, some used. Current skin care saviour is Origins, the first skin care that I didn't stop using after a week.!

What’s your favorite beauty ritual?
I am quite lazy when it comes to ritual. I love doing a mani-pedi at beauty parlor, of course. Occasionally home mask. And body scrub.

What’s your go-to lip product?
I'm more of a lip balm, lip gloss girl. Somehow anything colored on my lips - I tend to forget.

What is your morning beauty routine?
Normal face wash, brush teeth! Moisturizers before eye concealer, curl lashes, mascara (eyeliner on days I wake up early) and dap some lip balm.

What’s your signature fragrance?
DKNY Be Delicious on No-Sinus-Day.

What’s the best beauty advice you’ve ever received?
Can't recall any. Maybe there's too many?

And the worst advice?
Ditto!

Any tips or tricks you want to share with readers?
Eye cream. Eyelash cream. Hair mask.

Your favorite drugstore beauty product?
Nivea facial mask.

When do you feel the most beautiful?
When my messy hair is tied up in a bun.

Lip gloss mania

When I read Harrods Girl's post on Shiseido's latest lip gloss from Maquillage range , all I could thought about my long abandoned blog. There were many many topics that I wanted to write about, products I want to review, but lack of time management got the better of me.

Well, here I shall review on the latest lip gloss available in stores recently. Like Harrods Girl , I don't fancy lipstick, only lip balms or glosses. Lipsticks that I buy all ended up in my drawer, growing moth (I think) or charity to my sis/mom/friends. Whenever I have lipstick on, I can't wiggle any of my lip muscle, feeling very conscious of that layer on my lips and I have a compelling urge to eat it.

Glosses have come a long way since 1932 (can you believe it?
Source), their shape evolved from those tube that you apply with your fingers to a more sophisticated, clean, user-friendly tube/brush/applicator type.

Three glosses that caught my eyes are Revlon, Maybelline and Shiseido.

1. Revlon LipGlide comes in 24 shiny shades and and boast vitamins C & E and jojoba oil in this tube. The wide range of colors is indeed tempting, but the drawback for me, is the packaging. This gloss have nothing left to be desired, because you cannot see the color of the gloss, except when you try it. The felt tip, is not a plus point either. Sometimes the lifetime of the gloss actually outlast the felt and that doesn't work well when applying. Lastly, the plastic casing is a wee bit too teeny for my liking. Although the pen-like shape is very convenient, but isn't all the gloss in the market are easily slipped into your make-up case or even the tiniest clutch.

2. Every girl must have at least an item from Maybelline. I don't know about you - but the "Maybe she's born with it. Maybe it's Maybelline" sure worked its charms on me. Their latest product modelled by Adrianna Lima (like all other products).
Her watery glittery lipstick makes you wanna run to the nearest store to buy this gloss. This silver cased lip gloss is enticing, with a little shade peeking through. Leave the rest for your imagination, and testing of course. Gloss can be applied by twisting the dial, and the tip of it is made of clear plastic (easy for cleansing, I am very anal on overflowing ... on the cover/...) It's ergonomic shape in silver screams chic, trendy. 20 shades categorised into different color group makes choosing a color easier, for yourself or a friend. Are you into pinks? Or mauve shades suits you best? Or my bestie like her lippie in a brown shade?
3. Lastly, the splurge item - Shiseido Neo Climax Lip. Shiseido wins hands down. Their model (Yuri Ebihara) is superbly beautiful and complete with smokey eyes and luscious lips.

sexy eyes

Of course, the lip gloss pen have all that I desire - compact, clean, transparent. Don't forget to pop over to Shiseido Maquillage - very user-friendly site complete with "How-to".
Check out a review of this lippie.

In the end, finding the lip gloss to perfect your smile takes some searching, trial and errors. All the best!

Kate gel eye liner

If you think Bobbi Brown's gel eyeliner is too expensive for you, give Kate's gel eye liner a try. Remember Kate? This gel eye liner set comes with a mini brush comes with it. Great for those who are beginners in drawing eyeliner, so you don't invest too much in a brush. Their concept of packaging brushes together is a good selling point.

Gel based eye liners are created to last longer because of its water resistant contents. And hence, dries quickly. No more smudges while you are applying. Gel eye liner is definitely a necessity if dramatic looks is what you are looking for.

Lip gloss keychain

I always like quirky accessories. Not only this keychain is cute, it is also a lipgloss in its original tube. Seen here is Bloom's lip gloss keychain (available in four shades). It is very convenient, especially when you want to use more than one shade of lip gloss. Just hook them on to your keychain, in case you don't like Bloom's tag. Now, you won't forget your gloss.

This is a great palette for day look and even night look in a subtle way. The lip color will last me a long time - as you can see there is 3 color, ranging from nude to pink to light maroon-ish pink.
Go get yourself one, Benefit's Weather Girl.
